Statement of Intent.
In my print advertisement, I will follow all the rule of
that the ASA. I will make sure it
doesn’t contain any harmful content that can cause disturbance of any kind to
any type of audience, including violence or any anti-social behaviour. This is important
as my advertisement will be visible to the public meaning any sort of audience can
see it and be disturbed due to younger audiences not being ready to see it at
their ages. The broadcast time of my documentary will be past 7-8 pm as it is
suitable for audiences past the age of 12 as I’m planning to make this
documentary around creepy, horror, ghost stories which may be unsettling and disturbing
to younger audiences.
My documentary focuses on ghost tales in towns with historical
stories and legends that are commonly known within the town. My documentary will
look at evidence of these stories to test their truths and see if they are real
or not. This documentary should be presented to the intended primary target
audiences so they will be interested in watching it. The show will revolve
around the ghost hunters and investigators of the show so they will be the main
focal point of the advertisements which hopefully draws in the primary audience
to watch, and I will have some photos of “ghosts” to hopefully grab the
attention of the people and make them want to watch the documentary.
Hopefully the show appeals to my set target audience of
16–25-year-olds as i will only feature people in this age range to make the
show feel relatable to the target audience to make the audience engage with the
documentary more. Also, the documentary can go to older audiences who are
interested in the ghost stories of towns throughout the UK.
